Happy New Year!

Happy New Year Everyone!!!!!

So... How many of us took the challenge last year to share daily positives?

Here are a few positive things I learned during the 2017 Year. --- I learned that joining the world of working mom's and Grandma's was not a profitable adventure for me or my family. As much as I enjoyed the independence I missed my home life more and parted ways on a positive note.

--- I also learned that even as good as you are at time management, when you are not the only one in charge of your time you have no promise.

Other Positive Things:
*** Our Pennies for Heaven Jar (Donated to Charity) ~ $36.20
*** Weight Lost over year ~ 22 pounds
*** We added another granddaughter
*** We reached our temple goal
*** We crossed several more fun things off our bucket list
*** Still part of a bowling league .........lol!!!!!

And as most of you know as part of my new year make-over I always start the year out with a new SMASH BOOK/ART JOURNAL/THOUGHT CATCHER. This year I am using the YM/YW theme scripture on the front, along with "Strength & Stillness" as my "one word" challenge and my "Focus Word" for the year. I am using "Strength" as my "one word" ~ This word means so many different things to me. On a daily bases, I pray and seek for that "Strength" from my Heavenly Father and I choose "Stillness" as my "Focus Word" so as I focus on those quiet times, I am able to feel and hear of those things that my Heavenly Father has asked of me and will be able to gain the council and strength to be of best service to my family, friends and community.

The Book I am choosing this month for "Book Club" is a book entitled "Strength & Stillness" by Patricia Holland

Smash-Book / Art Journal 2017

HAppy New Year Everyone....

As most everyone knows, over the past few years, I have changed my opinion about making new year resolutions and
how quickly they can become triggers for feelings of failure.
So going forward I would like to focus on a couple of things I have learned over this past year and share positives from this past year:
--- joining the world of working mom's, I learned that it was a great avenue to share my charity events, but I also discovered how easy it is to get caught up in the working world and let the other important things in your life slip into second place.
--- I also learned that even as good as you are at time management, when you are not the only one in charge of your time you have no promise.
Positive Things:
*** Our Pennies for Heaven Jar (Donated to Charity) ~ $13.77
*** Weight Lost over year ~ 16 pounds
*** We added another granddaughter
*** We reached our temple goal
*** We crossed several fun things off our bucket list
*** Joined a bowling league .........lol!!!!!
And as part of my new year make-over I always start the year out with a new SMASH BOOK/ART JOURNAL/THOUGHT CATCHER. This year I am using the YM/YW theme scripture on the front. It is one of my favorites from my seminary days and it goes along with our topics of study this year.

BOM 365 - Day 1 - ME!

This year I have decided that I wanted to mess around with a few new mixed media techniques and Art Journaling. I decided that making bookmark cards for the "Book of Mormon 365 Challenge" would be a good avenue for this So... I give you my first card.
