WOYWW 816: Celebrating Snowy Carolina

 January 22… What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday 816.

Today, my desk is filled with snowy blue and white, while celebrating and making memory (scrapbook) pages with all my friends at the beach in South Carolina. Who would have ever guessed that they would get more snow this year than us here at the Grand Canyon. 

Also, on my desk, you will find some fun, leftover “Sunburst Technique” January birthday cards from our “Technique Tuesday” a couple of weeks ago. 

It been a long time since I posted to the “WOWW?” Group. It feels really good to be getting back into the swing of crafting and getting reacquainted with my old friend (my desk).

WOYWW # 556 - “Make a Box”

    It’s Wednesday and there just might be a little craftIng going on here at my work desk... I decided to spend a little time getting “Sunkissed” today as I jumped into the January “Make a box challenge” hosted by Graphic 45. #G45Box

This is a left-over tin box that I had laying around and using my new favorite paper “Sunkissed” collection by Graphic 45, I created a little treasure box for my granddaughter to hold all her seashells and treasures from our recent trip to the beach while on our cruise this past December.

While highlighting papers from Graphic 45, I accented with buttons, a frosted eggshell bow and little green brads. My technique used was paper piecing to bring out the elements on the top and to draw attention to the little poem that I love.

My Wednesday Workdesk was filled with Rotary today... I am the New Secretary of our club and today was my first (in-charge) meeting. My program was about "The Importance of Cultural Competency in a Multicultural Community" which we held for another meeting because of a great fund raising idea that come with an awesome discussion. So glad we have such an open forum...

WOYWW #356 - BLINGY THINGY

What's on my Workdesk this week?

That easy.... A little BLINGY THINGY!!! 
Staying with the beach/spa/zen resort theme I having going on in my master bathroom, this is the necklace wall decor piece, that will hopefully become part of a three piece set. The other two pieces will be for my earing and bracelets/watches....

 It has taken me all day to finish up the the project on my Workdesk.... But for today's challenge I found myself feeling a little country red, white and sandy. These are for our Feburary Relief Society Birthdays.

WOYWW # 344 - Snowman Soup

I am so excited that with the coming of the new year I will have more time to spend at my Workdesk. 

Today...

It took me most of the day to clear the Snowman Soup off my work desk.... I used the color combo challenge (CC564) that was posted on Splitcoast stampers yesterday. These make great hostess gifts or booking incentives. I am going to be using my as my visiting teaching treats for this month. Along with the card tag you will find a bag of goodies which consists of a hot chocolate package, a candy cane and a few marshmallows.

Today, my "What's On Your Work Desk Wednesday" Projects made their way out to the deck, while I enjoyed some wonderful fall sunshine. 

We are getting ready to decorate for Halloween tomorrow and I wanted to add a few new fall colors to the mix. Some new paper pumpkins and hostess gift bags...

        After spending the last couple of months away from my desk, I was feeling a little crafty today. I was so excited that it is Wednesday and our challenge today was a sketch challenge....

        So as you can see my "What's on Your Workdesk" photo is a mess with the start of fall colors and the feature card of the day is my September Birthday Cards using the splitcoast stampers sketch challenge SC556.

I love a good celebration, does not matter how large or small, I just love to celebrate! And I can't believe that our little group is celebrating another year milestone.... :)

In celebrating what's on our workdesk today we are having a little ATC swap. I am so excited, I love Artist Teading Cards (ATCs). These little gems are a great way of using up all those left over scraps, so you don't go through the age old crafter's guilt of  "Oh MY Gosh! I threw away the scraps..." My desk today is filled with lots of inspirational and scripture intended Art Journaling tidbits, plus my mess from my May VSBN Social Hour. I have been scrapbooking this month more than I have been crafting or stamping, because I have been helping take care of my mom at her house. So my desk is filling with lots of leftover stuff.

WOYWW #308 - Grandma's Desk

My "What's on my Workdesk" Wednesday's took on a whole new
meaning a couple of weeks ago when my hubby and I went to see his brother and pick up a few family things that have been in storage. To our wonderful surprise, his grandmother's desk was included among the things that were left to him. I fell in love with this desk the first time I saw it. I am so excited to add it to our memories....
